Google mate.... there are loads of sites. You can calibrate it precisely as per your needs - Day/Night/Room ambience/Photoshop/Gaming/Movies etc....

Physical Callibrator is a device (hardware & software) - used to accurately callibrate monitors - see this Datacolor Spyder4PRO - Advanced Color Calibration - Datacolor Imaging Solutions | there are many other brands too.
Calibrated and profiled Dell u2312hm (spyder express3+dispcalgui): PC Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

There are also some "only" softwares that do callibration (however, I have never used them) & trust my eye's to do the job.

So unless your work requires you to have 99.99% accurate color etc. information [professional photography; color-correction in video for broadcast purposes etc] -then a callibration device becomes useful. If your work involves a team or co-ordinating with a client, then monitor-profiles are shared (or sometimes LUT's - Look Up Tables) - so that everyone is on the same wavelength when images/video are shared & commented - also assuming that all are using the same monitor/model.

If you want to adjust the monitor’s factory color profile, for instance, you will have to dig for the RGB color calibration submenu. This is found only under Preset Mode -> Custom Color. On the positive side, much like every Dell we have seen, each of the three main colors is individually adjustable, which makes tinkering to hit that perfect 100/100/100 calibration a fairly easy task. Unsurprisingly this TN monitor does not have six color-axis control but for its class, individual RGB correction still makes it above average.

You can also go through these links - Do i need to calibrate my Dell U2312HM | and the most exhaustive review of this monitor - Dell U2312HM Review

All the best

Re: 50k Upgrade Cum Scratch Build

Now that you have got the maximus v gene & H100i - just go ahead with 3770k.

RAM - G.Skill 16GB [4 x 4 or 8 x 2] - Ripjaws X or Z 1600Mhz or 1866Mhz

Rest - [HDD; KB; speakers etc] make your choices from the money that is left.

Incidently have you got an SSD?

Re: 50k Upgrade Cum Scratch Build

If GNS3 is going to be your main work then - move ahead with the suggestions for RAM & processor.

The 5k that you wish to spend for speakers can wait - put that money for an SSD (128GB at least). 64GB will bottleneck your system. After installing OS + other essential softwares, you need to keep at least 25% space free at all times for "best optimum performance & speed".
