5) Input Methods Iphone: Finger only. Nokia 5800: Finger, stylus, plectrum, handwriting recognition.

Saving EMail Attachments is possible. They get CACHED. Simple as that.

8 ) Battery Nokia 5800 provides upto 35 hrs of music playing time against Apple Iphone which claims just 24 hrs. Overall battery power (talktime/standby) is also about 30% more in Nokia 5800. What more, 5800 has a removable battery which Iphone lacks. Iphone: 5 hrs talk-time, 300 hrs standby, not removable. Nokia 5800: 8.8 hrs talk-time, 406 hrs standby, removable battery.

Id like to see how much of this is true.

Nokia ALWAYS lies about battery life. ALWAYS. Only their E71 has a respectable battery life.

The iPhone 3G has better battery life than the Nokia N96. (Which is Nokia Flagship phone)

Also, the iPhone has 7-9 Hours talktime. Both 2G and 3G, I know because I have owned both and I use them A LOT.
Also, the battery IS removable. Its not difficult at all in the iPhone 3G.

9) Camera Iphone: 2 MP, no flash, no zoom, no additional camera. Nokia 5800: has a 3.2mp camera, 3x digital zoom with Carl Zeiss lens,professional optics, autofocus, zoom, and flash compared to the iphones 2mp cheap optics. A second camera in front is available for video calling/conferencing.

Again, the 5800 is out 1.5 years AFTER the iPhone. Nuff said.

10) Video Calling Iphone: No Video calling possible in Iphone. Nokia 5800: Video calling is possible.

Ill give you that, but expect it in the future model.

Also, nobody really uses Video calling, but anyway.

11) Video Recording IPhone: No option for video recording. Nokia 5800: Video recording is included.

Cycorder, iPhone Video Recorder. Both work perfectly well.

12) Music Service Iphone: Paid service with Apple Itunes Store. You pay and download music to your Iphone. Nokia 5800: “Comes with music” service is bundled with Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic phone by which you can download as much music as you want for 1 year- FREE!!

You dont have to pay and download.
You can use your collection.

13) Voice Dialing Iphone: Not Available Nokia 5800: Available

There are atleast 4 apps on the AppStore which allow me to have Voice Dialing, and they always work. Until the buggy Nokia method. (Theres a free app too, for your ************ with no money)

Also, does the 5800 support Gesture Dial?.. No? Didnt think so.

14) Voice Recording IPhone: Not Available Nokia 5800: Available

Again, there are atleast 5 apps on the appstore, including 2 free ones.

15) Web Browser Iphone: Webkit based Safari browser, no flash available. Nokia 5800: Webkit based browser, supports flash lite.

There are 3 plugins for flash available on Cydia now. They semi-work. Were getting there.

16) FM Radio Iphone: Not Available Nokia 5800: Available

Available with a Plugin Chip.
But, I really don't know who can enough to enjoy the Indian Radio. Maybe you are Vijay.

17) Bluetooth Iphone: Bluetooth is available for just handsfree, no file sharing possible. Nokia 5800: Bluetooth available for handsfree and file sharing is possible. Better audio quality on bluetooth in 5800 with A2DP technology which Iphone lacks. The 5800 supports stereo bluetooth. The iphone does not.

This was done to prevent Viruses and Stop Piracy.

You can email your photo's to your friends.

The iPhone supports A2DP with a small adapter. (You can buy it if you MUST have A2DP)

18) Messaging Iphone: It does not support message forwarding, multiple SMS deletion, sending SMS to multiple recipients and multimedia messages (MMS). Nokia 5800: All the above is possible plus it has MMS ver 1.3, message size upto 600kb, and automatic resizing of Images for MMS.19) GPS The Nokia 5800 has a GPS receiver with turn by turn directions. The iphone does not have turn by turn

The iPhone has an app called "SwirlyMMS" which sends and recieves MMS's perfectly fine.

The iPhone has turn based GPS as well, theres an app on the AppStore.

20) The OS The 5800 runs symbian s60 which means that you have the ability to install any number of programs on it, such as a different internet browser or multimedia player. Apple does not allow apps in the app store that mimic the official apps. there are internet browsers available for the 5800 that have embedded flash. the safari browser on the iphone is html only.

The iPhones strenght is the appStore and the ability to add a lot more usability through Jailbreaking.

In 6 months of the AppStore, iPhone has a LOT more apps on the table compared to Symbian. A lot more productive and meaningful apps and games atleast.

Even the iPhone haters will agree that nothing, absolutely nothing, comes close to the ease of use and innovation of the iPhone. With Multi-Touch, Multi-Touch Swipes, etc, games are innovative and FUN. Dont trust me on this, go and google "Rolando" its the best ever game, I have ever seen on the portable platform. PSP included. Its so good, that I spent 10$ on it, AFTER finishing it using a cracked version. So you can bark about whatever the 5800 does better, eg. Camera 3.2MP with Flash, Higher Resolution LCD (320x640 vs. 320x480 on the iPhone). But those are HARDWARE related. What makes you think Apple isnt going to update the iPhone? I bet well soon be seeing a 3.2-5MP camera in the iPhone, also Stereo Speakers, also a higher resolution screen. But the basics will stay the same, so that the AppStore is always common the all the iPhones, Present and Future. Nothing, i repeat nothing, Nokia can throw at the iPhone is superior SOFTWARE wise.
