^^ you're missing the point ... im not being rhetoric ....

The point that everyone misses out ... is the fact that in all these phones ... people had to come down to the keypad somewhere or the other to accomplish a task.... and thats not teh case in the iPhone .... this is the simple reason why everyone else is still trying to mimic the iPhone's UI

handwriting recognition is something that i admire in HTC phones ... not just that ... the way it always captures everything ... no matter how bad your handwriting is.

I know touchpads and screens have been there ... the P9X series and the O2 phones have lived their era of hype ... but still ... right now ... they are trying to mimic the iPhone

I wanted to write that but I missed that knowingly that you'd get back to me saying that iphone doesn't even have keypad.

Well I am stating it now. I do not use my keypad and I have seldom used it. One for I never felt the need to press the buttons (everything that my phone can do, can be done via touch interface) and second that my phone keypad *****.

But thats not the point. I wanted to tell you that touch interface is not Iphone exclusive. And my phone covers at least 90% of features iphone has and have features which even Iphone 3G doesn't have and I paid much less for it, that too being at least a year older than the iphone.

The idea is how much value are you getting for the price you pay. To me my phone is way more than a phone and I am proud of the fact that I know how to use it.

I like aditya for being able to make intelligent use of his phone and not blatantly beat about his possesion just for the sake of it. At least he is not amongst the 80% of those who buy iphone jsut to show others that they can afford it. Na I am not saying he is not boasting about it, but at least he knows what his phone can do and what he can't.
But at the same time I would appreciate him being respectful to other people's choice and selection. ANd I definitely do not welcome his arrogance.

To me, iphone doesn't solve my purpose and me paying for it wont do me any good. I haven't changed my phone since last two years and I am still happy with it. I dont say mine is the best nor do I say Iphone or any other phone is a rut. I only want to make a point that at least Iphone is not a GOD. Its good but not really better.

Anyways my take is the 5800 beats the iPhone easily based on the price and the features it offers for the price.

Ad1, iPhone really revolutionized the touch screen thingy and now Nokia is trying to copy it, but the basic lack of features on the iPhoneprevent it from being called the perfect phone or a phone with revolutionized phones.25 grams makes a lot of difference when the thing is carried in a pocket and not in a car , no?Also, no A2DP suxx. Its not like all broke ppl buy nokias and all uber rich guys buy iphones and all!!

Don't get me wrong! i respect iphone and ur point of view on it! but in the end nokia by default supports a lot more features than iphone3g(default) (not many ppl know of modding and apps from apple store etc. like u! )

Its just that a person wants a phone that fulfills his basic needs (like msging, photos, web browsing etc.) and most of them are not like u! they want their phones to work right out of the box!! Nokia fulfills all those needs BY DEFAULT! as in, right out of the box!

I don't know anything about phones but 2 of my *tech* friends have decided to get Nokia 5800.
I told them to try iphone also and they laughed at me
